About River Speakers

The River Speakers are excited to announce our new home at the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ)! Looking to spice up your lunch break? Come enjoy an hour of laughter mixed with professional development in a safe environment where you can sharpen your public speaking skills!

We meet every Thursday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at DEQ, near Fairview and Curtis. For those traveling to the club, don’t sweat parking. There is plenty of free parking for visitors near the front door. Once you enter, sign in at the desk and follow the Toastmasters signs.

We’re an “open” club, which means that you don’t have to work for a certain company or agency or have any particular affiliation to participate and join. We want to be a professional resource for all employees at the DEQ (and beyond!).

We typically meet in a Conference Room A at 1410 N. Hilton St., Boise, ID 83706. Look for the Toastmasters bulletin board in the lobby with meeting location and agenda details.

If you have any questions, email us.

Dues are billed every six months and are $45 for Toastmasters International and $6 for River Speakers for a total of $51. In addition, new members pay a one-time $20 sign-up fee.

They’re due in advance of the April 1 and September 1 cut-off date. Your Treasurer will contact you the month before. For new members, dues are prorated.
